Schools

There is no doubt that many residents of Los Altos are here for the Award Winning Schools. Whether you have kids or not, our top rated schools keep your housing prices strong.

Every year since the California standardized test scores have been published, LASD has ranked #1 or #2 out of approximately 1000 school districts statewide. Recent rankings by the State Department of Education indicate that our schools are among the finest in the state. All of our schools are California Distinguished Schools and two schools have been chosen as national Blue Ribbon Schools. Clearly, the students of the Los Altos School District receive a superior education.

645 Palm Avenue is within the Gardner Elementary School boundary, which currently teaches children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. There will be a 6th grade offering after Summer.  Additionally, come this Fall, Gardner will be the only school in the district offering full-day Kindergarten … which has proven to be a very popular program option.

If you have 7th or 8th grade children, they will attend Egan Junior High and then feed into Los Altos High School for 9th-12th grade.

Please be sure to check with the district office to determine attendance availability at your neighborhood school.
